POSTCARDS

I think postcards are a fantastic little marketing item. If you can boil your message down to something tight and essential, a good postcard is something your recipients might just keep and hang on their wall. That's one of my personal goals, at least.

SAMPLE #1: HAWKRIDGE

Client Profile: Hawkridge Technologies, Inc. is an emerging company that seeks to meet the IT needs of small to mid-sized businesses who don't want to create their own IT department.

Client Quote: "I like the logo. The site looks really professional. Everything is great. And everybody I show the postcards to just loves them..."
-- Matt L. Downer, CEO

Project Challenge: Hawkridge wanted to send out an introductory mailer to announce and advertise their services to a specific range of small to mid-sized businesses. It needed to stand out, look fun, be compelling, and address the concerns of business managers and owners who want their office systems to run smoothly.

Project Solution: Staying consistent with the imagery I used in the site and other Hawkridge collateral, I created a serious of metaphorical images depicting the dangers and problems of poor computer system management. Each postcard was titled with a simple "QUIZ" question which, inherent in the question itself, stressed the value of Hawkridge's services.

SAMPLE #3: CORRELATE

Client Profile: Interestingly, knowledge management solutions are showing up because computers have allowed for the gathering and storing of so much data that we now "have trouble finding what we already found." Correlate Technologies provides comprehensive and cost-effective solutions to this problem, particularly as it relates to the industry's tech-giants.

Client Quote: "Many compliments to your great handy work!!! I'll definitely pass your name along to this partner of ours..."
-- Dave Dexter, VP Business Development

Project Challenge: In a trade show push, Correlate asked me to develop a fun, high-energy postcard invitation. The event was co-hosted with Lotus, and needed to incorporate the styles of both companies. Furthermore, there was a minimum of time available, and a need to avoid image graphics.

Project Solution: Grabbing the bright color inspirations from Lotus' business branding, and form inspiration from Correlate, I generated this cheerful piece. I wrote copy to match the fun, hipster tone of the layout.
